NJBA mourns the passing of Dick Swetits

The New Jersey broadcast community mourns the loss of longtime broadcaster and former NJBA board member Richard "Dick" Swetits.  Dick's obituary is copied below and can be found here.

NJBA Board Chair John Mozes said, "New Jersey has a rich history of producing great radio broadcasters, but only a few achieve legendary status. One of those legends was Richard Swetits. Dick, as everyone called him, had an amazing passion for the broadcast industry. He brought that passion for radio, specifically New Jersey radio, every day to WHTG-AM & FM, the WHTG Tower Corporation and to the NJ Broadcasters Association, an organization he truly loved and was committed to seeing succeed."

Visitation will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 10:00 to 12:30 PM with his funeral service to begin directly after.
