EEO1Source
Stations and station groups continue to sign up for EEO1Source. The first to sign on was WOR Radio, our great affiliate member in New York City. Since then we have the pleasure of welcoming Nassau Broadcasting, Clear Channel Communications, NJN and pending, Radio Disney. EEO1Source also welcomes the State of Illinois. EEO1Source is the only program available to station association
members at no charge. It takes a station all the way from posting a job, until all of the
required FCC forms are printed, and then posted on the Internet. The program keeps track
of stations EEO paperwork on a secure web site, which can only be accessed by the station
and is password protected. EEO1Source does it all, totally eliminating the station
paperwork burdens and assisting a station with its EEO compliance. You must be a member of
your state association and must apply through your state association to join
EEO1Source. Howard L. Green
Building Dedication Oct. 22, 2003
Youre invited to attend the dedication of the Howard L. Green Broadcast House at 2:00pm on Wednesday Oct. 22. Mary Jane Green, Howards widow will unveil an original medallion, copies of which will be given to recipients of the Howard L. Green Humanitarian Award annually. Elizabeth Christopherson, of NJN is the chair of the selection committee. Join your fellow broadcasters in honoring Howard, a major figure on the broadcasting scene, who is no longer with us. If you would like to us, call Mary at 1-888-657-2346. Refreshments will be served. June reached a high water mark for the large number of complaints
received by the FCC. Radio accounts for the largest number of complaints, in the hundreds;
as opposed to just a few last years. Radio
stations would be well advised to have their policies in place, in writing, and to hold
staff meetings to set the ground rules for their air talent. Register today for the sellers and sales
managers seminar, featuring, Sean Luce, Oct. 16th & 17th. Get QuickNews via e-mail. Its Fast and Free. Just E-mail njba@njba.com
and in the subject line type the words subscribe QuickNews. Thats all there is to it. |
