Register Now
For EEO1Source
Go to the NJBA web site, www.njbroadcasters.org
and click on list a job. That will take you to the EEO1Source log in page. Groups should
log in first. The log in procedure will generate a user name and password. You can change
it later. After you have received your password, distribute it to all of your employment
units. You need to then use the above procedure to log in and get each units individual
user name and password. After your participation is approved by NJBA you can change your
password to something meaningful to you. It is very important that all the information you
enter be correct. Your reports, down the road, depend on getting the log in information
absolutely right. If you have any problems, please contact Debbie for help. You will see
an icon on the page for a fax service. You are free to use it, or to select your own
service. We will be asking the FCC to allow e-mail notification to our prong 2 groups, at
this time, e-mail is not legal. The cheapest alternative is faxing. Remember, EEO1Source
is free to all members in good standing. When you post a job, it will automatically send a
blast fax to any or all of the sources you select.
BMI
Contracts In Your Mailbox This Next Month
The agreement between BMI and the Radio Music Licensing Committee is
a done deal and BMI is wasting no time in getting the agreements out to all of the
stations. No longer will stations have to keep track of what they play. Stations will be
billed one fee regardless of format changes annually. There is a separate fee for Internet
streaming. Remember this is in addition to the fee from RIAA.
FCC Extends
Filing Fees Deadline
The deadline for filing has been moved one day, from September 24th
to September 25th at 11:59 pm. The FCC cites the hurricane for the delayed
deadline. The FCC is encouraging stations to file using the fee filer automated process at
www.fcc.gov/fee.
