Join your colleagues in the Marcus Aurelius Ballroom for an evening of networking, good food and drink. Have your photo taken with Caesar, Cleopatra, Roman Tribunes and Radio Mike. The festivities begin promptly at 6:00PM.

Citizen of The Year Breakfast

This year, the honor goes to Congressman Rob Andrews from South Jersey.  The Congressman has given NJBA a great deal of support on Capitol Hill with broadcast issues. We look forward to awarding this honor to Congressman Andrews.  Breakfast begins at 8:00AM.

Management Sessions

NJBA favorites, Roy Stewart (FCC), Esquires, John R. Garziglia and David Oxenford will head the Management sessions. This year with new EEO and Political Rules, these sessions are more important than ever. The new rules regarding EEO and exactly what you need to do to comply with these rules will be thoroughly discussed as well as the record keeping requirements. 

 Engineering Sessions

Jeff Detweiller and Tom Ray will take the engineering attendees through the requirements and preparations needed to install and operate HD Radio.  Jeff, Broadcast Technology Manager for iBiquity Digital Corp., will explain In Band On Channel, IBOC, the necessary equipment and the costs as well as the engineering involved.  As Director of Engineering at Buckley Broadcasting/WOR-AM, Tom will discuss the installation of HD Radio from the stations engineer’s point of view.  He has made 710 WOR-HD the nations first digital AM radio station and knows the subject well. 

Programming Sessions

Learn from successful management personnel, who began their careers in programming. How do we become the boss?  Find out, “What in the World is the Wide Web NOW” featuring Bill Rose, Jayne Charneski, Dan Mathers and Jim Furgeson and “Career Paths For Programmers” with Jay Meyers, Tom Taylor, Leigh Jacobs and Jerry Lembo.   Let Elvis Duran and the Z Morning Zoo take programmers behind the scenes of their hit morning show, “Waking Up with Elvis Duran & The Z Morning Zoo." 

Sales Sessions

Paul Weyland, President of Paul Weyland Training Seminars and one of the nation’s master sales trainer will conduct a full day of intensive sales training.
