Nassau and Millennium Negotiate
Several
weeks ago, Millennium Broadcasting slapped a temporary restraining order on Nassau over
Nassaus purchase of WEMG-FM from Mega Communications. Since that time, both parties
have been trying to work out a deal that would permit Nassau to buy the station under
certain conditions. As of QuickNews deadline, no agreement has been announced.
Star Ledger To Feature Radio
The
Star Ledger Newspaper will be featuring New Jersey Radio in a major feature article,
either this Sunday or next Sunday. The article will highlight the advantages of broadcast
group ownership, as well as major format diversity. The Star Ledger has hired a columnist
who specializes in broadcast and has written several columns, which do a good job of
picturing the broadcast industry in New Jersey. Look for it.
